Terms of Service

To use Calixto you need an account and must be at least 16. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens in your account. You can stop using Calixto and delete your account at any time.

Calixto helps you track what you eat and how your body changes. Its targets, trends and estimates are general information, not medical, dietary or health advice, and not a substitute for a doctor or registered dietitian. If you are pregnant, have or have had an eating disorder, or have a medical condition, talk to a professional before changing how you eat.

Nutrition comes from public databases (USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts) and from what you and others enter. AI logging estimates foods and amounts and marks them as estimates; a nutrient a source doesn't report is shown as unknown, not zero. Check what matters to you. Sources and licences are listed on Data sources.

What you log and create stays yours. You let us store and process it to provide Calixto to you, and to the people you share a pantry with for what you put in that pantry. Custom foods you create are private unless you share them.

A pantry's owners decide who is a member and what they can do. Members see the pantry's items, lists and history, never each other's diaries. If you leave or delete your account, your past changes stay in the pantry's history as “Former member”.

You can connect assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT. They act for you only within the permissions you grant, and their use of Calixto is also subject to their own terms. You can disconnect them at any time.

• Don't try to access other people's data or accounts.
• Don't scrape the food catalog or overload the service; we limit request rates.
• Don't use Calixto to harass anyone, including through pantry invitations.

We work to keep Calixto available but can't promise it will always be. Features may change. We'll tell you before these terms change in a way that matters, and you can export your data at any time.

Calixto is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions you make based on its estimates or for indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
